Hello everyone, Looking for some assistance with a machine I just picked up and turned on to get the battery error code, (replaced it). Machine turns on and lights up with reels spinning during start up and then nothing. The candle botton does fast blink and I checked the "door optics" and does not have that install as far as I can tell and no error codes show. I can pull the slot a few times after using the reset key but Reels never spin just pull slot and then nothing and after a few times it locks up. checked all the wiring and no shorts and everything looks good. when i drop a dollar in the slot the counter does nothing and the coin falls to the hopper. Looking for some Help. Thanks

That being said, that's a helluva hack job on the battery. It's supposed to be a 3.6V 1/2AA lithium battery with solder tabs, not a 3V coin cell soldered like that. Sigh.
Anyways, I don't think that's your problem (but once you get it working you should fix it). It's an IGT S-Slot (not S+) with a button deck like I've never seen before. Usually it has 5 buttons.
After you replaced the battery did you get a 61 error code?

Yes I got the 61 code and I cleared it and I ordered new battery as well. Any other idea what test I can perform to figure out the problem or some chip I can replace to get it to work ? This is a link to the start up of the machine https://jmp.sh/F8J2QdGY (https://jmp.sh/F8J2QdGY)

Tap the white self test button multiple times to scroll through the setup options.

I could be wrong but isn't the coin comparitor backwards?

What's making that noise?
What does it do when you put a coin in it?
