Coin in question
« on: March 04, 2022, 01:14:24 PM »
I have  igt s+ upright machines.  One 2 coin double red white and blue the other is a 5 coin wild cherry.

I can put 5 coins into the wild cherry machine,  hit spin button, max credits or pull the handle to make her rip all 5 coins put into the machine.

When I put 2 coins into the double red, white and blue the reels automatically spin. I have no choice it just goes and spins.  Is there a setting that can be changed on this machine to mirror what the wild cherry does?  I know that nothing changes the winning algorithm but when i or anyone else is playing, being able to hit different buttons and use the handle at least makes the mind think it was the sequence or what you chose to initiate the reels that got you to win.  Putting two coins in and it spinning auto takes some fun out of the game.

Your spin or bet one button is wired wrong, I forget now.  Check the button wires against your other machine.

Without taking things apart they look to be all wired with same color going to same terminals.

There is not a setting that would cause that to happen that I know of.  But I do know it happens when one of those buttons is not wired right.  There is one button that should be wired different than all the rest.

This could also be a setting.

From the 1272 PSR -
Max Bet AutoSpin <0> [35] Determines whether the reels spin automatically when the maximum bet is reached or when the Play Max Credits button is pressed Options are enabled (1) or disabled (2).

To change this setting you press the white test button to get to the <0> options then use the jackpot reset key to get to the [35] sub menu, to change the setting you hit the spin reels button
After which press the white test button and its locked in - you then close the door.

*** This presumes a 1272 game chip ...... the setting and sub menu may vary between game chips.

What is the game chip in the Double red white and blue. ??
You can either pull the MPU board and look or you can follow Ricks FAQs and get it to display in coins played window. Ricks FAQ can be found on the bottom right of the NLG home page.
Once we know your game chip we can guide you through to tell you what setting to change.

Other tests....
Have you tried inserting 1 coin and hitting the spin button ? - this is just to check the functionality of the button.
Assuming you have a few credits on the machine - if you hit the bet 1 button a couple times or max bet - does it also spin automatically without hitting the spin button ??

You can also swap your MPU boards between the machines (powered off) and see if the behavior moves with the MPU board.
This would indicate the setting vs a mechanical/wiring issue in the cabinet.

Pls post back and let us know.

My apologies.  It has been a while but wanted to let all know I have fixed it with the help of you guys.  I went back and read through and compared ALL of the wiring for each of the buttons and the Max Bet butting was wired incorrectly. Corrected that to match my other slot and lookie there. All fixed!!!  Works as advertised. Thank you!!
