Bill Validator Stopped Working on S+

Hi all, new to forums. Thanks for any help.
I recently bought S+ Wild Cherry and it works great. No problems.

I tried to remove the CASH OUT connection. I didn't get it to separate, so rather than try to hard to mess with it, I just put it back. However, it had an error code or something, I forget.

Not sure what to do, I turned the jackpot key, hoping to reset. (Probably shouldn't have done this?? IDK).

Anyway, it worked. Game play resumed and error codes went away.

However, now bill validator doesn't even attempt to pull bills. It's like it turned off. I may have hit a button, like the bet button in the process. I can't recall.

Did I turn off the bill validator? How do I turn it back on?

Turning machine off and on doesn't do it, however when I do turn off and back on, the validator does make the noises it normally does when powering up.

You cannot disable the DBV by pushing any buttons on the deck.
AS a DBV gets powered up, the transport runs thru it's motions to set itself to be readied for bill acceptance....that's what you're hearing.

Also, when you turned the jackpot reset key on the right hand-side of the cabinet, all you did was go into the internal accounting system of the machine.
After 20-30 seconds, it just goes back into game mode.....you didn't clear any error codes.
The accounting page number it was in,  turned off.

Open the door, pull out the cashbox and shove it back in firmly.
You will hear the transport go through it's motions then shut the door and wait for a few seconds for the red led lights to come on inside the bill slot area.
That's when you can try an older bill that has a small head on it.
Your bill validator would need to be upgraded for it to accept bills with the large heads on them.
Not all bill validators are the same, why don't you post up a photo of yours?

Finally, you said "game play resumed".....what do you mean by this?
Did it accept a bill or do you have a coin acceptor as well and a coin hopper?

We need to determine if you've actually done anything to disable the DBV, otherwise you will have to buy a special SET015 chip to re-enable the DBV.

Got it to work. The cash box was not shoved it properly. It also has a coin hopper as well. Thanks for the help and the good explanation!
