Title: Bluebird 1 meter question
Post by: cmjb13 on May 03, 2020, 11:22:29 AM

Is there a way to disable the meters inside?

I’m using a TITO @ home and had a large winning and all I’m hearing is the clicks from the meters for 10 minutes

If you use a Mississippi SJUR chip, the meters are disabled.  You can change it easily, you will have to do a clear and setup the game again.

How would I know if I have that chip?

Can’t I just disconnect the power from the meters?

If you have that chip, your meters wouldn't click.  You can see what sjur you have by going into Diagnostic=>Machine Info=>System Information look for the area that talks about jurisdiction.  If you pull the meters, you will get a meter disconnect error.

Yes, the advantage of using that chip is that you can set the jackpot really high, so you don't get hand pays at $1,200.00.  At least that's why people here ask for it.  I'd rather not have the meters ticking and deal with the occasional $1,200 jackpot handpay than the meters ticking after  every spin.

Where can I disable the meters?

In the game setup

There is no option to disable meters.  If you use the Mississippi SJUR it automatically disables them.  It is the only known way to disable the meters.

Looks like I found the chip on eBay.

Thanks

So the process is just to replace the chip and run through the RAM clear procedure?

Yes, that is all.  Make sure you replace the SJUR before the clear.

I replaced the chip and went to do a RAM clear.
It gets to the screenshot attached and just goes to black screen
I took the chip out and rotated it and put it back in and the same thing happens.
Right now, the chip’s notch is facing up

If you put the chip in backwards you could have protentially fried it or erased it.  The notch goes in the same direction as the socket notch.  Pay attention to the socket, one side has a notch on it, the chip notch has to match.

Are these the notches you are referring to!

That chip is on backwards.  I bet it is really hot to the touch if you powered up the machine.  There is a likelyhood that the chip might be damaged, but no way to know for sure unless you test it, sometimes you get lucky and the chip survives.

This is the notch I was referring to.  There is notch drawn into the board plus the socket also has a little notch on it. Note that there is a also a little triangle that points to the side where pin 1 is on the chip (which is the side with the notch on the chip)

Also looking at the chip part number 24c08, that is not the correct part used for WMS BB1 sjur chips.  The correct part number should be 25LC040.  So you may not even have the correct chip. I would contact whoever you bought the chip from to make sure you got what you needed.

So I replaced the chip and the meter clicking seems to have gone away

Does the Mississippi chip restrict the amount of lines that can be bet?

On Super Jackpot party, I seem to be limited to Lines Bet = 6. Maybe I didn't setup the paylines correctly.

You probably didn't pick the correct paytable during setup.  Only during setup do can the number of lines be determined.

Looking for mississippi chip for a bb3 blade machine.  Need to stop the meter clicking.  Drive me crazy after big wins and clicks away for a couple hours. Lol. Anyone have one?
