Title: Wms Legacy And Zeus II Game
Post by: Next_Gaming on January 10, 2024, 10:47:19 PM
Hi To All

Reading in the forum i can see different requirements to install the  Zeus II Game in BB1 System, the game requires a extra button to work i have a nxt Legacy board mostly in the cases when the board boots, this doesn't have the spn module that means that this Game doesn't run under this system?, i have this doubt about this specific Game thanks for any  reply about this issue.

Best Regards

What do you call a NXT legacy board?  In general if you have a bb1 cabinet, all you need to do to run this game is get the EBB player panel and associated hardware.  The game will not run without.

Hi Rickhunter

Thanks so much for reply, when i say Legacy board means to the older board for Wms 550 cabinet to run bb1 games.

Thanks again.

NXT is a board to go in a 550 cabinet that allows you to play BB1 games and some BB1.5 games. You remove the I/O and CPU board from the 550 cage and install a single NXT CPU. I do not know if the NXT will support the extra bet button.  The extra bet button plugs into CAT5 connector on a BB1 back plane, but a 550 does not have a CAT5 on the back plane. THE NXT board itself does have a CAT5 connector but I do not know if it can be used for this purpose. The last issue may be that the NXT board probably doesn't have enough RAM to support this game. I could be wrong on this.

Hi Dragster73

Thanks so much, about the ram memory i think You are right, really i don't see many games installed in there, one of most common is Jungle Wild.

Memory capacity is the same as a regular cpunxt mpu.  The CPUNXT board does not support the spn bus.  Therefore you cannot run this game on a converted 550.  There are a lot of other games though, basically anything that does not use the EBB button deck (I think there are only around 10 titles that do anyway).  Close to 100 games will run on that nxt board.  Max memory size is 512MB, so if you have a 256MB module on yours, you can upgrade it to 512MB.
