Post by: mctuerk on March 18, 2017, 09:27:52 AM
i got a few s2000 and game kings that came from cruise ships.i got them all working. Except the 2 dollar machines they all are set to quarter dollar. In Europe there is no quarter euro and i want to set them to 50eurocent. What clear and key chip do i need? :thank_you:

On the S2000's. If they are multi denom and/or have a multidenom version chip, just a key chip is required to change the player denom. I recommend key 45. If they do not have a multidenom version chip then a clear will be required to change the accounting denom and key chip for setup. I recommend a clear 224. I don't know what the gamekings will need

Thanks a lot Cowboy. Sorry but that are my first 2000s. The version chip is VS011GX1 and the blue display has 2 lines. Does that mean multi denom? So i'm only in need of a key 45, is that correct ? or do the machines also need that touchpad to change from 0,25 to $1?

Yes, you have multidenom version chips and can change the player denom with a keychip while leaving the accounting denom where it is set. The only caveat here is that if you want a player denom value that would be LOWER than the current accounting denom value then you would have to clear the machine. Depending on what setup the machines have for credit display, 552 or 663, you will need either a button on the button deck or a touchpad to take advantage of multidenom playing
