IGT G22 Questions
« on: January 03, 2025, 01:44:45 PM »
Hi,

I have never had one of these machines and found someone selling one for 400 which seems like a good deal but I want to know what I'm getting into. I have attached picture of the model number and the machine. When researching it seems you can put 9-12 games on these which seems nice but I've also read it I will need a ekey7 which seem to be 400 dollars and the game dongles are like 75-100. It as simple as having the ekey and buying the dongles? I also read you can upgrade your bios to have any game(not sure how to do this). Also is there a list of which games I can get? Any helpful info around what ill need and where to get it would be helpful!

Thanks,

An E key is a must if you plan on having an AVP system. You will also want a Diag USB. those can be made and are far cheaper than the E Key.

Most people use "show boot" chips thus eliminating the need for dongles.

Contact member NLG RB for list of game files and possibly E key.

Also you should be able to install a lot more games than 9-12, More like 50-70.

Thanks for the information! Is there a general help page for these machines I can read off of? We got it started up and it loads into wolf run however the bv light is not lit and the game menu is greyed out. Almost feels as if the machine is ready but none of the games are allowed to play yet. Not sure where to go from here.

Thanks,

Nolan

The card cage door is open as indicated on the main monitor. Close and latch that door on the CPU box. If the latch isn't present, stick something in the micro switch to depress the lever and it should show closed.

Thanks that did the trick! It looks like the machine currently has about 20 different slot games at 1c denom and a bunch of Keno, poker, and blackjack games at 5 and 10cent denom. I’m guessing it already has the upgraded bios as there is multiple games. For adding/changing games at this point what would I need to do besides get the e key and that diagnostic key.

Thanks for the help!

You need the software for the games you wish to install. If the dynamic buttons are not displaying an image or very dim, they need to be replaced.

They get replaced as RB said. Get-t has aftermarket ones. They are slightly different than the OE ones so if you want them all to match you'll need a full set. Buttons are not cheap. I put a full set of 14 buttons on my G23 for around 700.00 with shipping and that was a deal.

Hi,

I noticed after having it on for a bit one of the fans is making a noticeable noise. I checked the one by the cpu and it wasnt that one. Are there ones behind the top monitor? Where can I get a new one? Also, I have a printer but it is not enabled is there a guide/post on how to enable the printer? Also I want to set up tito in the future if its not too hard.

Thanks,

Sorry about the barrage of questions but I also noticed some of the bonuses being a little slow. Is it possible to upgrade the machine to run faster?

Thanks,

Start by adding another 2gb stick of RAM.

Thanks I found these on amazon. I hope one of these is what I need:

Unnecessarily large URL stringer cleaned - photos added since links may change over time.

Hey Nolan?
On the first line of your links, you'll see a question mark at the end.
That's all you need to post...not all the rest of it.
Here's an example for your first link...>>>
https://www.amazon.com/Rasalas-PC2-6400-DDR2-800-pc2-6400u-Unbuffered/dp/B07R13WGNV/ref=sr_1_3?

Your second link...>>>
https://www.amazon.com/PC2-6400-Motoeagle-PC2-6400S-Non-ECC-Unbuffered/dp/B08ZXMPHC2/ref=sr_1_2?

You replace the RAM just like any typical desktop PC.  :)   Nothing needs to be changed other than putting the new memory in the two slots.  Then power it on.  If you hear the POST beep and it boots, the upgraded memory is good to go.

If your Tito card is a Tito@home card, they created a nice PDF with instructions for doing a complete setup of an AVP, including the Tito card settings you would need to configure.  PDF attached.

If you aren't going to completely reload the machine, you would just use the diag to clear NVRAM and Safe Storage ONLY!  That leaves the OS and games you have loaded on your machine's SSD drive, but clears the settings.

Then you can just follow the guide to do setup, configure/enable the games you have on it, and set the options for the Tito card to function.
