Title: Bally 809B slot Lock switches
Post by: PatrickLewis.net on November 17, 2022, 07:28:22 PM
I have two lock switches. one in the top section and one in the bottom.  What do these switches do?   The top switch seems to only have wires on one contact.

the one with wires 31-1 and 56-3 is the jackpot release switch.  When the game locks up for a jackpot hand-pay, the key switch powers the coin lockout coil to allow a coin to be accepted and clear the lockout.

the other switch ... dunno.  Is that a yellow wire on the thing?

As Wolftalk mentioned, jackpot reset.

If the two yellow wires are connected together. It’s most likely the switch has been eliminated.
Possible it was a two person operation to reset the machine for security reasons.

Out of curiosity, trace the wires through the machine.
As to see what the purpose for the switch would have been.
The common yellow wire at the switch had the function to open and close a circuit.
