Title: Bally EVO problems

I'm trying to help a guy long distance get his EVO working. 
He said if it turns machine on with out the CPU board in the reels spin and it goes setup until it gets to the CDrom.  The strange thing is that when he insert the cpu board the machine does nothing.  He did say the 4 green lights on board are lite.  I assume this just means poser supply is good.  I told him to remove the eproms fom board and try again to see if game starts up..  Maybe there's a software issue???  Any suggestions???

Looks like the EVO needs a full RAM and EEPROM clear. Does he have a clear-chip?
