Title: Ballys Roulette Machine: Protocol Error
Post by: sakwilla on June 17, 2017, 03:17:06 AM
Hello all,

I purchased a Ballys Roulette Gaming Machine and all was working well, the only thing I noticed was that when I clicked Cash Out it came up with Call Attendant and I had to turn the key to reset the screen. It had a ticket printer all set up but under settings it wasnt set to the ticket printer and was told the only way I could fix this is with a Clear Chip (which I just purchased)

I reset the machine, and had to put in all the settings again which is fine, but once I have finished the setup it came up with Protocol Error.
I know its to do with the Comm Setup > Protocol Setup but not sure exactly what I have done wrong. I have included lots of photos if anyone can pick up something I need to do.

I googled the issue and a lot of people stated that under Validation Type (Comm Setup > Protocol Setup > Comm 1 I should select "Standard" I dont have that option, I only have "System" and "Enhanced" so dont know if thats the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance :)

You need to a California jursdiction chip if you want "standard".

OR get a TITO board which will print and read tickets.

my recommendation is to just buy a TITO board from Bettor slots if you want to mess around with Tickets! No reason not to.
