Title: TITO Deluxe - Count Spins and then lock?
Post by: coolwavepic on October 30, 2016, 04:26:38 PM
I know that the TITO Deluxe can count how many spins, but lets say I want to play the machine for 50 spins and then lock the machine from spinning more. Almost like a Tournament Setup. Is there a way to do this?

A script that interacts with the intranet webpage generated by tito deluxe could indeed do that...Sorry I don't know enough about scripting to do that.

I love the idea - we can't do actual spins because the machine doesn't let us know when it's done spinning.

BUT

I love the idea of putting a tournament button on the app.    Set the timer for XX amount of minutes then all machines lock.

brilliant

What if you try it out with a SPIN count? The reason why, is when I count the spins manually, I hit the lock button manually, and will not lock until after the spin is complete. At least on a WMS BB2.

spin count lock isn't possible with the deluxe.  Think about it like this - it's a oneway street IN the machine and only IN.   There is no way to know what the spin count is without ASKING (out) what the count is.  A script can ASK what the count is - and lock the machine but the problem is if some machines spin faster or slower they will have different counts at the TIME of the ask.

To reliably know what the spin count is the machine would have to SAY (out)- "Hey I'm done spinning!"   - which isn't possible because the machine doesn't say anything.   We have to ask it.

That's why a timed tournament is possible because the app will know when time is up and kill the machines.

You can put together a script to ask the machine what their counts are and kill them - but because of the timing some machines could have several more spins than others -

so lets say 50 spins is the kill  and you have 5 machines

the spin count may look like this
51
55
50
54
52

That makes complete sense. I guess the timing thing would be the way to go then
