I have a 2 credit 3 reel triple diamond. Can I add the haywire feature?
I assume the game chips and sound dimm would be needed.
Thanks for any insight.

No, reel strips and payouts are completely different. You can convert a Triple Diamond into a mystery nudge game with a software change.

I assume to have a Triple Diamond haywire game, I would have to do a complete game change which would include:
Game chips 1 and 2 (Is 523 or 363 chips compatible?)
SB100338
Not sure which Version chip is compatible, but the correct VX chip, currently have VS011GX1
Correct Reel strips.
And to complete the "look" the correct glass.
Is there anything I am missing?

Most generic SG and VS chip combos will work.
SB100338 or 339, reel strips and award glass would be needed.
Belly glass would not really matter except for aesthetics or preference.

Apparently everything is readily available with exception of reel strips. Do you know where I could get a set of reel strips or have some made?
I also remembered the sound, does the game require a specific sound simm?

You would probably have to find a Sunkist dealer to get some made. They are hard to find. A DSV00042 simm has Haywire sounds and so does DSV00016 Wild Thing but not sure if it will work. You would be better off to build a DDH than a TDH. You can use regular single line DD strips and glass with the right software. They are much more available. I purchased a couple of those Haywire decal sets when Ken was offering them. You can add them to the DD glass if desired. I would sell one set.

I just had strips made through Casino Network/Sunkist. Pricey but very nice !!

Hello all,
I wanted to update the thread to say I successfully converted my Triple Diamond to a Triple Diamond Haywire.
As noted by RB, you cannot just add the "haywire" feature to triple diamond. The conversion is a complete game change which includes:
Stepper Base chip
Correct Reel Strips (Expensive)
Correct glass to display paytable
Correct Belly Glass (Hard to find and expensive).
I found that the correct glass and reel strips are hard to find and costly. As RB suggested, it would have been much more economical to have converted to a Double Diamond Haywire.
With that noted, I decided to go ahead with the Triple Diamond Haywire conversion. I felt since it was so hard to find the parts, it would make it worth it just to have a "hard to get" game.
I was able to find the top and belly glass for a premium price and purchased the reel strips though the "Casino Network/Sunkist" dealer, thanks for the suggestion @Sunrise Side. As he said, they are very pricey, but quality is top notch!.
Thanks again to @RB and @Sunrise Side for sharing your knowledge and willingness to help out the community!!

That's Great!! No Picture !!!???

when you say expensive, how much were the strips and glass.
this helps others when they are deciding to upgrade.

The strips was purchased through the Casino Network which I am guessing is the distributer for Sunkist graphics. The total cost for the set of strips shipped was $274.95.
The glass set was sourced from ebay.

As Sunrise asked, got pictures of completed machine?

Here's a pic I snapped last night. I will get video of play and hopefully be able to show a haywire hit..lol
BTW, I took the pic just after turning it on, so it had not finished completely booting up. I will take some better pictures and video when I get time.
