Title: Sigma 105B Won't accept coins

Replaced comparator. Reseated all connectors and ribbon wire.  No faults current displayed. -3 indicated in coins played.  Replaced RAM battery, reads just over 3V.  What needs to occur to enable comparator coin drop solenoid to retract to the accept position? 
 If I prop the coin accept solenoid in the accept position, I can get 3 coins to play, and actually won.  Then the machine defaults to "Meter Wire Cut".  I can make this fault go away by removing the coin drop prop.  Then, no fault is displayed and it will no longer accept coins.  I'm at a real loss here.  Thank you.
