Title: Circuit board repair
Post by: wilm245 on December 29, 2023, 08:24:50 AM
Does anyone know of a reputable circuit board/PCB repair service?  The reason I ask is because one of my G23 cabinets started having a Telltale Battery error/hard tilt.  No matter how new or fully charged the battery is within a few minutes it creates a hard tilt.  When I swap the cabinet controller boards between my 2 G23 machines the problem follows the cabinet controller board.  I thoroughly cleaned the problematic board but that didn't help.  I'm wondering if I would be better off sending it to someone who repairs PCB's or trying to source a used tested and working board.  Let me know any experiences/thoughts you have related to this issue.

Thanks, I will definitely reach out to him sometime soon as I have 2 non working S2000 machines sitting in my garage that I bought for $50 each a few years ago but haven't gotten around to fixing them.  I think I may have gotten lucky and found a deal on the cabinet controller board for my G23.  Last night for the first time in a very long time I decided to take a look at what ebay had to offer and I saw plenty of the cabinet controller boards that I need priced from around $90 and up.  Then I came across an established seller located in Las Vegas with 100% feedback who happened to have the board I need for $5 plus shipping.  I looked at the listing and it said that the boards had been thoroughly cleaned and tested and were 100% working.  The listing also indicated that 28 had been sold and there were 6 units still available.  I went ahead and pulled the trigger bought 4 of them, total price after tax and shipping was $44 and some change.  At a cost of $11 each shipped and delivered I had no choice but to order them

Are you saying you found a G23 cabinet controller for $5.00?  That's a steal if so!

Thanks sixcardmark.  wilm245 sent me a link to it.  There was one left when I got it, so I snagged it.  Great deal if it works, and if it doesn't well, it was only $20 with shipping.

I got my package from GET-T today.  The first thing I noticed was the package was pretty heavy, so I'm thinking what'd they do send me two cabinet controller boards?  Opened it up to find a power supply!  :banghead:

I wonder if someone ordered this and is getting a cabinet controller board instead  :Scratch-Head:?
