Title: Need ID on mylar capacitor electronic dc ballast - S2000
Post by: Dvbit2017 on February 02, 2024, 08:23:57 PM
Can anyone identify this mylar capacitor on the electronic dc ballast. I want to purchase but not sure if its 30uF 090dcv or .30uF 090dcV. I'm trying to repair the electronic dc ballast for s2000

It is not a capacitor, it is a Fuse.  A Self Recovery Fuse - UF090 30V 0.9A

Is that part for the 0.4A (Red) or 0.62A (Blue) ballast?
I have a few bad ones as well.

It's for the blue. Not only does that goes out the two transistors (TIP31C) need to be replaced. I got them from Amazon. I repaired one so it's good now. I stock some of these to fix the lamps when they lose power.

A short repair video would have been awesome for our NLG members, wouldn't you agree?
Something simple like basic ballast IC diagnosing and replacement work?

FYI   SuzoHapp sells ballast rebuild kits for around $4.00   I'm not sure it's worth the time for most people because the price for a new ballast is only about $10 for the 15W and $23 for the 8W.

(SuzoHapp has a $50 minimum purchase requirement)
