Title: Ceronix DC vs AC
Post by: jagerstauf on February 20, 2017, 10:42:43 PM
I'm working on the last piece of my BB1.5 conversion which is swapping out the 19" displays for the 22" ones. Is there any benefit of getting the AC option for the Ceronix displays over DC? Looking at picking up the CPA3080 for the bottom display and a CPA3079 for the top. CPA6062 and CPA6061 are their AC equivalents respectively.

Less stress on the power supply.  The bb1 power structure was not really meant to power dual widescreen monitors.  On my conversion, the top monitor is ac powered and the bottom is DC.  Most of the guys here who have done DC top monitors use a 12v power brick to power it, not the 12v rail from the cabinet  power supply.
