Title: Eygo monitor swap job on Williams Joust cabinet
Post by: Ryengoth on July 08, 2018, 11:52:20 AM

Williams Joust/Robotron cabinet with a Jamma 60-n-1 board installed. Joysticks are Wico and based on the fossilized grommets there were original. Replaced the grommets while it was apart.

CRT failed (flyback was dead when I pulled it) and owner wanted an LCD swap.Going to try to repair this Eygo display with a universal neck and main board and resell it. Have not had time to check the coil resistances. Did not see much burn-in when I was checking it out.Having an ATX power supply and a monitor with a 3-prong power cord made it interesting for power re-wiring. I ran a Stanley 9ft H/D power cord to a GFCI outlet and box. It's good to have a receptacle in the cabinet for servicing so you don't have to hunt for power.

No video on this one. It was a quick turn-around. I do have some short phone video segments of the display operation and Wico joystick repair that I may put together.
