i have a sammy gun game that comes up with back up ram (NG) or no good can any one help me out with this thanks :EmoticonHelp4:

I don't know anything about your arcade machine but have you checked the battery on the main circuit board inside the machine? If it has gone dead that would let the backup memory get corrupted and give an error message. Post photos of the main circuit board if you need help identifying the battery. If you have a meter you can check the battery voltage with it.

I am not familiar with that game.
Some of the older games used TLS logic chips that had a max life.
A RAM NG would be better than other errors as RAM can be stolen from other boards to replace yours.
Certain other chips are not nearly as available.

Many older arcade games can have their massive logic boards swapped out with JAMMA boards. I have a 32 in 1 board, but you can lock it down to a single game.

Hang tight and I am sure someone way more qualified than I will chime in here.

the battery was dead and I replaced it, still bad ram. is there a way to clear the back up ram?
