Original sandisk branded cards only.  Typically 512MB or 1GB cards for the newer games.  Some older games use 256MB.  It is important that they be sandisk original or the game will fail validation.

I have had luck with shoot n store for game card, but for os cards, I've had mixed success.  The ultras always work or either one.

I just bought a bunch of san disk cards.. I'd like to dig deeper into why some cards work and some don't. I know with
hard drives the exact capacity is different between different manufacturers. I wonder if something similar is going on
with the CF cards.

Has anyone had success using a CF card that is larger than necessary? Like a 512MB game on a 1GB card..

Larger cards wont work,
you need the exact same size card, right down to the bit,

I find the Ultra Sandisk work better than the regular Sandisk, if you going to backup a SSSG operating system card I only use original WMS cards.

Actually larger sized cards can be used in the upper lcd for the BB1 dual screen games. It seems there is no problem using up to 512MB cards for this.

Here is a example of what they mean by exact size.

I have 2 Scandisk 128 Mb cards with the same label on them.

One of the cards shows as the size being 125,440 This is the correct size.

The other even though having the same sticker comes up as 126,000  this card will NOT work.

I have some of cards here I would like to use.  What program are you using, what format are the factory cards in?

Thanks!
