Title: Pinball S+ Barcrest wedge bulb # number needed
Post by: danatlvc on December 03, 2016, 08:41:05 AM
Howdy all,
Does anyone know the bulb number for the clear mini wedge type bulbs that circle the upper pinball unit?
Thanks,
Dan

I don't know the number (or if there is even a number for them), but they're referred to as "Tivoli bulbs" -- you can see them on the Suzo-Happ website here (not that I suggest ordering from them -- they're notorious for having outrageous shipping charges):

The S2000 uses a tivoli bulb, the S+ uses a 74 bulb, same as button deck on an s+

My S+ Pinball machine respectfully begs to differ.   :Professor:

A 74 would not fit in the sockets in the ring around the outside of the playfield.  It uses Tivoli bulbs.

Edited to add: I found an eBay listing that has ten of them for $9 including shipping.  Not a steal of a deal, but cheaper than Happ with their Mystery ShippingTM.

I know nothing about the seller and I'm not endorsing them.  You'd have to re-use your existing bulb bases, but it's easy enough to do that.

Another option would be to get them from Spin, Inc. (looks like they may be cheaper per bulb if you pick their cheapest shipping option (parcel post) and buy enough to replace all of your bulbs): http://www.spininc.com/05952-0 (http://www.spininc.com/05952-0)

Last one: I think these would work, too, again just re-using your existing bases.  $3.69 for 10 plus $3.54 for shipping.  You could get two 10-packs to have a nearly lifetime supply of bulbs and still pay the same shipping (so, $10.92 total for 20 bulbs shipped).  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Box-of-10-Bulbs-CE0209-28-V-1-12-W-Wire-Terminal-Base-T-1-5-/400709472987?hash=item5d4c2552db:g:sSwAAOSwRgJXmQsJ (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Box-of-10-Bulbs-CE0209-28-V-1-12-W-Wire-Terminal-Base-T-1-5-/400709472987?hash=item5d4c2552db:g:sSwAAOSwRgJXmQsJ)

I stand corrected in any case, I think I meant to say 73 bulb, not 74

Do your bulbs have a plastic "cup" the bulbs fits in? Like a christmas light sort of? Or does the bulb itself have a glass wedge base that goes right in the socket?

My S+ Barcrest Pinball has the "cups", sort of like Christmas lights.
