Title: WMS BB2 main (bottom) monitor issues
Post by: Pinaddicted on April 13, 2024, 05:57:08 AM
Hi

I have a Kristel monitor that will not work on initial startup. The green light is on, but no image on the screen.

If I disconnect the power Molex (hot) for 5 seconds and plug it back in, then it works fine. After it warms up it will act normal, even after a reboot.

I've re-seated and cleaned every connection under the back cover with DeoxIT, but the issue still remains. Monitor was swapped to another machine, and the issue followed the monitor.

Any ideas to what may be the issue?

Thanks

Take a photo of the monitor's circuit boards under that rear cover, and the model numbers on top of the cover.
I'll show you what's dying out, and needs to be replaced.

okay...now you need to try to get the part number off of the ballast board I've encircled for you.
I'm pretty sure a member/vendor will have one to sell to you if you post a WTB ad in the Classifieds section of NLG.
If not, check places like GETT-T online...guys like them, strip down machines to sell the parts.

Thanks for the info Bunker!!!

Would this... (KRISTEL L.P. 100-INV-9802 REV.A) be the part number for that board?

If you enlarge my original picture you can clearly see that number. Do you know specifically what goes bad on those boards?

My guess would be swollen or dried-out capacitors?...I don't know.

I'm seeing these called an inverter board online, what is the correct terminology?

Thanks

That's good...we make up our own names for stuff because we're guys and hate to read manuals... :24:
