IGT M+ (PLUS) Sound Problem
« on: October 08, 2020, 06:27:00 AM »
Dear All,

I live in Germany and have a problem with a 4-reel IGT M + (PLUS) slot machine. The machine doesn't make a tone. Otherwise the slot machine runs without any problems. Does anyone know where I can possibly buy a new CPU motherboard? I would replace this part if it is not too expensive. Perhaps you have other ideas how to solve this problem.

If you are interested, you can watch a video about this slot machine. The slot machine was rebuilt for advertising purposes and therefore looks different from the completely original machines.

Error 404 (Not Found)!!1

Thank you very much for your support.:thank_you:
Best regards from Germany
Madddin

Have you checked the wires to the speaker for continuity?

When you get a chance, please post a photo inside where the speaker may be?I hope it's just a simple fix.
The glass and strips are custom made for sure but the game and payouts are a clone of another.M+ machines are rare....made in the early 80's.Is there an identification stamp on the side labeled? It would be cool to see when that one was manufactured!  :cool_thumb_up:

hmm...that tag is showing that it was made in 1988....it's not as old as I thought.
Can you show me a picture of the guts inside?
Especially the MPU board.
I did not know that they made the M+ during that year?
I learn something new all the time.

As promised yesterday I am posting now some more photos of this machine.

2. Door inside
3. Inside below (the speaker is located behind the perforated metal plate on the left side). The motherboard is located on the left side.
4. Motherboard (volume control is the small blue wheel)

Did you ever get your sound problem fixed?  I haven't seen a later M+ machine like that before.  That was probably one of the last of the M slots before they migrated to the S+.  Your MPU board looks similar to an S+ and much different than a non plus M slot.

Is that capacitor to the left of the volume control bulging? I don't know crap about that machine but that's what I would suspect if it's bulging.
