Title: Bally 2nd chance draw poker

Bally 5000 been off for about a year turned it on and this is what I get. I used a clear chip and it said it cleared. Reinstalled the game chip and got the same thing. Anybody got any ideas

What is the battery voltage?

Just got a free minute and battery at 0 volts...I just ordered one on amazon.. will follow up

Ya, the clear chip will clear the RAM because the 5V logic voltage from the main power supply is used for the clear procedure.
BUT the RAM has no battery voltage to maintain it's contents so when you turn the power off and remove the clear chip the RAM contents get scrambled.
I think your problem will be solved when you install a fresh battery THEN do a clear.

Thank you for your help. I finally got some time and put in a new battery did a clear and its working great
