We have a Bally V slant slot machine for personal use. I don't know exactly what model it is. We are having trouble, when we turn it on it clicks in the coin mechanism, over and over, the screen comes on, its blue with an s on the screen. Can anyone help with this issue, thank you so much.

Post a photo of the machine so we can identify what you have. Bally V doesn't make any sense to me.
-
Here are some pictures of the slot machine.
-
We need photos of what the inside looks like, the circuit board especially (called the mpu).
-
Also, will need a picture of it turned on showing the message on the screen .
-
here are the photos you asked for and one extra just thought it would help. Thank you for taking the time to look at them.

Have you owned this machine for a while and it use to work? Need the history of the machine. The battery on the MPU needs to tested for the voltage. Battery is a common maintenance issue. Also the coin mech constantly clicking, could be the power supply needs replacing. That is another common maintenance issue. It's a perforated metal box where the main power cord plugs into along with other wire harness connections.

You will need a Bally Game Maker VIP Debug P-10 chip. Works better than the Clear chip. I will have to check around to find the instructions. There is usually a lot of settings to go through depending on the game package. NLG member RB may have the Debug chip.

There is instructions and a PDF here for using the clear/debug chip and setup afterwards . http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=18678.msg98807#msg98807 (http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=18678.msg98807#msg98807)
