That's kind of a general statement.  What issues?

I’m only getting to a Bally Boot screen and it just freezes there.

Are you using a 2.4 CPU, and you have already gone thru the install process? Using DP cables for video?  You have the conversion cables and board?

I had the same issue. It was a bad bios chip.  Try a working Argos Bios chip and that should fix your issue.

I’ll get more specific
It’s a 2.1 CPU with the ArgOS graphics card and the 2.4 BIOS. All displays are connected with D/P adapters. Install drives connected or disconnected. It has not worked before but I figured I’d give it a go.
Guess I should start with 2.4 BIOS on 2.1, are they compatible?

2.4 bios is not compatible with the 2.1. You need the 2.1 Argos BIOS chip. Is your video card an E8870?

I’m using a W5100.
Do you know where I could get my hands on the 2.1 BIOS?

W5100 does not work, I tried it with a 2.1 and 2.4.  You need a E8870 plus the Windows software must match the cpu version, you can not mix them.  2.1 needs 8 gb of RAM too.

Noted on the W5100 and RAM requirements, thank you.
I have an E8870 around but the setup showed the W5100, oh well.
Can you give me some more details or a picture of the conversion harness, though, as well?

Any idea where to get the 2.1 bios? Been looking everywhere. I’ll pay!!

I have the harness that makes it think it’s a Wave XL. Even when it does it’s cabinet identification it says that it’s a wave XL.

it doesn't work that way, there are only a few games that work on the bally wave with ArgOS, for the others you need SG Wave XL

We have the harness that makes it a wave_pro so maybe they just didn’t list it because they didn’t want people to do what we did lol. But we had to have the right OS/Windows version as well as the 8870 and 8 gigs of Ram. Once it had all the it booted right up. Now we just need the jackpot dongle to setup the progressives and we should have it running soon! But if anyone reading this has an 8870 for sale lmk i need 3 more!!
