Title: coin acceptor connection
Post by: ALIDMAN on January 05, 2016, 12:38:55 AM
HI everyone , I am stuck with my last bally 5500 machine( NO MORE LOL )I have bally 5500 fiery 7 , the connector for coin acceptor does not have any juice in it , I checked the bill validator and it has juice in it ( 12v ) , I am trying to get connection from bill validator ( I can not find reasonably priced  BVD-200 SH ) , so I can use the machine , I had X-MARK Xeptor   X-10 in the machine and I tried to change it with MC 16 dd 12v , when I tried that , machine still did not work( I did RAM clear  the machine ), the only other thing I can think of is to get juice from bill validator and re wire it to coin acceptor , the question is :
There is 3 wires that goes in coin acceptor ( port 1,3,5),which 2 wire is the juice
does it matter + or -  connection ?

thank you for any input

On the front of your MPU tray, is the mini toggle switch labeled "COIN MECH" in the up position ?

All of my 5500s use a 24 volt acceptor
