I have a Bally Alpha 40496 1GB CPU I can't get to clear. The battery on the CPU was at 1volt so I piggybacked a good battery to the old one. I have no battery on hand to replace the bad one but they are on order. I have tried to clear this and it hangs up at the screen shown in the picture. I have tried a 320 CLEAR too with same results. I have no spare BIOS chip for this to exchange for testing. Am I missing something with this (setting, jumper, etc) This is the first time I have worked with this type of CPU. The game for this is Wild Huskies. Also what type and size is the BIOS chip for this board. It is a 42 pin eprom?? Won't fit my eprom burner. Does anybody have a spare BIOS chip I could sub in this?? Thanks Ted

With that BIOS, you need to use a CLEAR335 and an OS 336 or 341

Replaced the CPU with one which was known to working. Cleared and booted up great with replacement CPU. Evidently the original CPU has problems
