Will "Lock It Link" games run on V32?
« on: July 07, 2020, 10:22:55 PM »
I have an Alpha 2 Pro V32 machine and would like to know if I can install "Loteria - El Barril De Fiesta", a Lock It Link series game.  SGGaming classified this game as Class 3.  I want to be certain this game can run on V32 before I purchase the software.  Please help.  Thanks!

The lock it link series games will not play on a v32. They are Twinstar based games running Argos OS.
If it ain't broke don't mess with it.....

Unless you have access to the SG web site data base to obtain a cut sheet which lists the requirements for a specific game, the best way is to just look the game up on their site.  Usually they show a picture of the machine with the game installed in it.  From that pic, if you are familiar to the different cabinets, you can get a pretty good idea what platform the game is for.  On the SG site you can also look the game up with the cabinet parameter selected to see if it will be listed that way.  The SG site does have games mixed up in the wrong category which can lead you astray with the wrong information I found though.

Hope someone here has access to the cut sheets and put together a spreadsheet for game platform compatibility :-)

Maybe you can do this yourself and share the list with us.  You don't have to have access to do this.  Just go up on the SG web site and do a search on the different TWINSTAR cabinets

https://www.sggaming.com/games/game-search

Select Scientific Gaming and pick a Twinstar cabinet type. I would start with TWINSTAR as the first cabinet type. it will then list the games that play on that platform.  All Twinstar are Argos.  You can also do this for Bally / Slots instead of Scientific Gaming.

This is super helpful, but I don't have a login to access. Any suggestions?

You don't need login access in order to do the game search, you just can't download anything, but you can look up the games and by platform.

WMS BB3 cabs are way better to run lock it links on. V32 cabs can run firelinks so save those and just get a BB3. Will definitely work on one of those. Just need 8 gigs of ram and the files for Argos.

Why is that? Most of the conversions in the casino were done on Bally Alpha 2 with the ideck. If I were to do a conversion I'd do it on the Alpha 2. Will all games run on a blade with OLED buttons? I've seem them running in the blades but just wondering why they haven't converted Bally cabs. I know nothing about the conversions as everyone on here is tight lip about it.

Because from an arcade stand point firelinks can be used with alpha 2 machines so we don’t wanna waste a lock it link on one cause Bb3 machines don’t really have the most played titles on them. But yes they will work i have about 13 BB3 machines running lock it link software. I don’t know how to convert alpha 2 machines to Argos but waves i do as well as BB3 machines. So lmk if you need help. You can PM me.
