Blue Bird Question
« on: September 14, 2024, 08:42:26 AM »
Hello. New member here. So, I bought a WMS machine thinking it was a BB2 but now that I'm looking into it, it looks more like a BB1. Most likely got scammed but could the guy have upgraded it to a BB2? He was saying it was a BB2E. The only major difference I see is I don't have the OLED buttons.

Just trying to figure out because my MIL was wanting to play a specific game that's only supported on the Bb2.

I would post a pic but cannot get the file size down to the restriction size.

NLG works best with computers. Most computers usually have a simple file reduction feature in the viewer.
Other way is send the photo from your phone to your E mail. Most phones can reduce the photo one size "down." Make sure it's not too small. If you have trouble, PM me and I can post the photo for you.

There's definitley bb1 to bb2 conversions out there. There's even a thread somewhere on the forum about a bb1 to bb2 to bb3 conversion so it's definitely possible. Something you should verify is if it has 19 inch or 22 inch screens because that limits what you can play on it if I remember right.

Both screens are 19 in. I'm guessing that's BB1?

If both screens are 19" and your speaker grille has silver on it, but has a bb2 mpu inside it a bb1.5.  A bb2e is a bb2 cabinet with led lights that respond to gameplay.  You can just google bb2e to see what it looks like.

So, I do have a BB2E. What was confusing was there was a BB1 control panel on it. I have pretty much noticed the seller had frankensteined this machine. I really want the OLED panel on there, but they are running around 400-500 on eBay. I will have to wait until I get income again before blowing that kind of money.

When you do get the OLED panel, my thought is you will enjoy it. It is very simple to Install.
If you buy a used one be careful as these OLEDs can and will start to fade. There is a member
here that can replace the screens and make an an old OLED look brand new. I hade that done
a couple of years ago. My OLED 2-3 years later looks brand new. I think the member is Slotman.

You are correct, I have plenty of OLED setups Splash and Non Splash.  I purchased a large lot of replacement screens years ago and still have plenty left.  I can refurb a existing button panel or just sell a complete refurbished one for someone that wants a spare.
