I’m looking for some assistance with a UBA 14 that won’t accept colored bills. This is the first UBA I have worked with, I installed this in a Game King and removed a WBA 13.
Currently it will only accept $1’s, rejects everything else. The firmware according to the label is 2.82-37, I think that should work if the label is correct. I have no way to verify what’s installed.
I had to switch the boot EPROM to match ID 24, it says it’s V 1.26. I’m wondering if the boot version isn’t correct? Any thoughts appreciated.

That gameking will tell you what firmware is installed in it.
I forget the exact area but I think its somewhere in meters.

This is what i use on UBA 14/24 for ID024 with Boot V1.29. V2.82-37 might require a different boot. I do not have documentation of that version.

Thanks RB. I have a boot v1.29 but it shows ID-028. In the software info sheet, it shows the boot as ID-024/ID-028. Should I try this boot chip?

I definitely would try it. Did you find out what version you actually have as Slotman suggested? The label might not be correct.

I don’t have access to the game right now (out of town), I’ll check the version when I’m back.

I forgot to close this out, UBA is now accepting new colored bills. I didn’t change anything but I ran the bill validator test in diagnostics menu and it recognized all bills correctly. It’s now working as it should.
