problem reading software eproms for older Igame
« on: November 25, 2022, 09:16:52 AM »
I have a set of software that plays perfectly but I'm unable to read the base or game chips.  Both give a checksum of 0000 and show no text after reading.  Usually there is text with chip number etc.  This is the only set I'm have this problem with.

I did save files, and then made new chips but the game didn't work.  Red light on processor board.  Older software dated 9/12/01 (see pic)

thanks for any help/suggestions.
Bob

Try peeling the labels off and see what the actual numbers are on chips.  Perhaps they're different that what you're selecting in your EPROM programmer software and that's what the problem is?  The data on them is obviously good since they work in the machine.
