A lot of DBV-145/200 issues can be determined by listening to the power up cycle. Keep in mind that the unit should cycle as long as it has power. It will cycle even without a MPU installed. So if it is not doing anything at all, you probably have a power supply or cabling issue.
This video is what the normal cycle sounds like

This video is what it sounds like if the cash can is not being detected (possibly because the transport is not seated properly - see picture below videos).

Here is a video with the cash can optics not working. Listen closely to the clunking sound after the initial cycle. You may need to turn up the volume to hear it. I had installed a Sentry bezel when I did this video, but a regular one would just not light up.

A common problem for the sounds in the second video is the transport not being seated properly. While there are several ways to check it, the way I do it is to just pull the can and look inside. The tabs should be down as indicated in the picture as well as the gear. The transport locking handle should be UP.

I had the same sound as in video 2. Had to re-install the BV. It's working great now.
Thanks for the post. :thank_you:

This thread solved my dead DVB 200 issue also !!!!! The pics of the cash box removed photos with the gear and 2 tabs hanging down seemed to hang down further than mine, although it seemed that I had installed the DVB 200 assembly level and fully seated.... WRONG !!! Mine was not down in the back, causing the gear and 2 tabs not to properly connect to the cash box.
THANK YOU !!!!!
