Title: Bally 18 pin Female Beau Plug
Post by: Amechanic on March 09, 2014, 06:11:55 PM
I'm looking to buy at least one, or if I can get lucky 2-3 of the 18 pin Bally Female Beau Plugs used in the Bally EM and some of the E1000 Series slot machines.. I just had to replace another one in an 831 I'm restoring and I'm using the last one I have..

Thanks Gary

Hi Gary, I've. Scrapped out several E-1000's and can probably help. Are these used with the hoppers or some of the reel assemblies? Gene

Gene, That is correct, most of the hoppers are the 18 pin versions in the E-Series. In the EM versions they were used on the reels and feature units too. I just picked up 4 EM machines to restore. All are in excellent condition except for Beau plug problems. Draining my spare plugs stash to get them working again. Let me know what you can spare.

Yea the female ones.. I will take both if you have a complete set, or sets.. While your checking could you see if you had a 30 pin too? I'd like to make up a 30 pin extension cable.. I have already made my self a 18 & 24 extension cable. It's nice being able to bench test components and still run the machine..
Thanks again, Gary

Will do. I agree, it's really nice to get the units out in the open where you can see everything and turn them over if you need to. Gene

I sent you a 24 pin female plug for your machine, didn't I..  :Scratch-Head:  I still have a couple of those, it's the 18 pin plug I need.. I've attached a pic of the broken plug from someone forcing or slamming the reels assembly in place..

I tried to send you a fairly long PM late last night but I guess it didn't go. Can you try to send me one with your email address?  I found a 24 pin gold M & FM, also a 24 pin tin plated female. Haven't found the 30 pin so far. Are you looking for the female? Looks like it's probably going to be on the back shelf of the reel shelf bracket, is that right?  (Looks like they are designed to hold either the 24 or 30 pin sockets). Also saw another 18 pin gold male on a hopper and a female on its tray bracket. That would be two sets of them. Have more "guts" from stripped machines but they are hard to access right now. Gene

The only place I've run into the 30 plug was on the hopper of the Bally 809 EM. Most of the modern hoppers use the 18 pin. The reels seem to use the 24 & 18 pin. My email address should be on my profile but in case it's not here it is:
