CEI CASINO POKER MONITOR ACTIVATE

I am new to NLG....excited to learn more about my video poker game !Need help with problem I have with my CEI Casino Poker machine.Many times when turning on the machine, it will power up to where there is a short blip of light on the monitor than the monitor goes black....no image.  I can usually get the monitor image to light up and appear by repeatedly switching machine off and on numerous times.  I do know when image will appear because I will hear a click sound that seems to be coming from the inside of the door near the coin shute.  Some times when the machine is on, the monitor will go black on me.  Any help/input would be greatly appreciated !!  Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions to solving this problem

It most likely the monitor chassis needing to be recapped.
Post a picture of your machine with the door open and if
possible pull your monitor and take a picture of the back
side so it can be identified.

Adding picture of the process board from my CEI Casino Poker Machine.  Can someone identify what model board this is....902?  Also, would this board be a possible source of my problem posted .....can't get monitor image....screen turns black....when turning on.Thanks in advanc e for any and all help in resolving my problem!

Your monitor needs to be repaired, it is an older 1490.The wire off of the switch is no big problem, that was the change switch, press it and a casino attendant will come bye and sell you some change.Your board is a 906 non turbo.

Thanks for the input, Badbaud !Can I substitute a 1492 to replace 1490?What would rough cost to repair 1490?  Worth it?Thanks.

You can substitute a 1492 but the solder jumpers must be set for CEI.

Is setting the solder jumpers for CEI a major undertaking or easy to do ?Thanks Badbaud  for your reply / input.....much appreciated !!

You have to remove the blobs of solder on the back of the monitor board if it was set for IGT and add blobs in different locations to set it for CEI.PM me your email and I can send you a 1492 manual.

You can think of it as adding a jumper or removing a jumper wire on the circuit board, but a blob of solder is placed there instead. (solder is conductive, same as a wire).  It's how the Ceronix monitor knows what type of video signals the CEI mpu board is sending to it.
