Title: bally game maker saferam fail game disabled

try to do a clear on game maker

i replaced battery..

.i put dpsw bank 1 number 8 on

it comes up with bally

game maker saferam fail game disabled
battery ok
main saferam fail
backuppp saferam 1 fail
backup saferam 2 fail

running safe ram pattern test

safe ram pattern test passed.

i put my clear chip in p10

and it say the same thing

if i leave clear chip in and turn off #8 on dip switch all i get is

the buttons  just keep flashing and the screen keep flashing

all blue screen


any help?

any sugestions.

Switches 6,7, and 8 must be on to do a clear, not just 8.

I did 7 and 8 on..  Just 7 and just 8

OK will try 6 7 and 8 on.

My documents say 7 and 8..

Make sure clear chip is in P10.

I orderd a debug chip..
Seen a lot of people on here talk about using
A debug chip and it worked. So I orderd  one
Should be here this week..

The debug chip is basically used to reset the country / state code.
Is your battery up to voltage? At least 3VDC?
There is also a jumper near the board edge - end of the battery that must be in the on position.

Yes its new battery. 3.6v
Yes the jumper is on.  Tested it. Because if its off it say battery low. . mine say battery good. .

I'm thinking its the mains on the board..

It could also be a defective game chip. Remove P1 through P10 and put the clear into P10 and try to clear it again.

i pulled out all 10 games and it still gives me the same error..

It could be the mains, or the square IC in the middle of the board, or the serial chip that talks to the BV, or a low power supply voltage.
Have you checked your power supply voltages?

Got my bally  debug chip.. today

put it in and fallowed directions on screen

and bam its back up now..

just got one error to fiit

keeps saying hopper jam/ error..

i ran hopper test in the test fuctions and it put out 10 coins..

anyone know why it would keep saying hopper jam/error game disabled?
