Title: Programing S2000 Progressive
Post by: BG1911 on June 27, 2017, 08:37:06 AM
I am starting a new link. Other post got corrupted when I tried to edit it.
I have a display I am trying to set up.  Cleared machine, Key chipped it, put base chip back in go to 7.3.
Set up as follows:
7.3.1.1 Game 1
7.3.1.2 Machine Denomination ($.25)
Game 1: Denom .25  Level 1: Stand Alone
Level 1: None: Disabled ($0.00)
None: disabled (0.000)
SAS: Disabled ($0.00)
 Link: Disabled ($0.00)

This is a multi-denomination machine (.25, .25, .50, 1.00).  Do I need to set up a level for each denomination? In the () above, it is $0.00, does this need a $$ amount?  I would not think so, since it is disabled.

Next problem, I can't get into 7.3.3 for Stand Alone Set Up.  This is where I set up limit amount, current amount, add percentage and base amount. When I press the spin button, nothing advances.

I found this on another link, but is little help:

7.3 ProgressiveThe progressive submenus can only be configured and/or displayed when the paytable program supports progressive awards.    This note indicates to me that perhaps your SB version doesn't support progressive configuration...post your SB and i can check the PAR sheet if you don't have it.7.3.1 Controller Select - Displays a list of levels to be configured. For each level, the operator must select from a list of progressive types (e.g., none, SAS, link, and standalone).
NOTE: Before the operator can select SAS as the controller, the SAS group must be set.7.3.2 Progressive Display - Setup Although this option appears, it has no affect.
7.3.3 Stand Alone Setup - This page determines the limit amount, the current amount, the add percentage, and the base amount for each progressive level.
7.3.4 SAS Progressive Group - This page sets the SAS progressive group. If set to zero, SAS progressive capabilities are disabled. The operator can set the SAS group from 1 to 255.

On 7.3.4, my machine says =000.  What Does the 1 to 255 number do? I need to put a number into this?

Does someone have a more detailed procedure on setting up/programing the display?

 Thanks,

 Dave

I believe you need to put a number as long as it's not 000.
It has been a while since I have set up a Spectrum. Yes you need to set up each denomination separately.
Step one:  go into 7.3.1  Controller Select
7.3.1.1      Game 1
7.3.1.2      your machine denomination (I will use 25 cents)
Game 1: Denom 25¢: Level 1
       Stand Alone: Level 1
       None:            Disabled
       SAS:              Disabled
       Link:              Disabled

I have it set up just like that. I am unable to get past 7.3.3 (stand alone setup).  When I press the spin wheel button, nothing happens. It won't let me into the next menu.

Does the SG chips I am using not support stand alone?

Thanks,

Dave
