Title: need game id and wiring question

can anyone please id this game? the plate on the side says 1088, but its an EM. also, its blowing a main fuse.  the power cord looks like both the hot and neutral are fuse?  also, once its id'd. i need a manual.  i will attempt to post pics in a follow up , too many times i get an error.

You can down load a Bally EM Manual here. It has basic information that covers pretty much all the information needed. Your not going to find a manual that just covers a 1088.. I think your problem is how your white cords wires attached. I don't remember ever see it hooked to a fuse holder, but I could be wrong.. I don't currently have a 1088, or 1090 here to compare with. Someone like Davidlee, Jon or OldReno would know better. Hold on, I'm sure one will chime in soon..

Did you mention which fuse keeps blowing?
You'll see the white common wire is fused in this 1088. Most likely to protect the machine from incorrect wiring.
Check the wires near the door jamb, especially the ones closest to the metal case edge.
The 1088 I have was shorting on the door jamb when I got it.
Also coins sometimes make there way into the step up unit on the right and the timer on the left,
both located on the bottom of the machine. Especially after moving the machine on its side or back.
