Title: Split pay / multidenom on Quick Hit games
Post by: Yoeddy1 on December 24, 2017, 12:18:54 AM
Hi guys,

Is it possible to set up split pay on a Bally Alpha?  If so, where is it in the menu options?  On all of my machines I set it up to pay out 5$ worth of tokens, and then the remainder in a ticket.

Side note...can Quick Hit games be setup multi-denom?

Thanks,
Jason

I’m wondering if this is a BIOS thing.  So if I set up base denom as 1.00 and then choose penny as my single denom to use in the game, my dollar tokens are only counted as a penny.  If base denom is set as 1.00 on my WMS BB2, the tokens are counted as 1.00.  How do I get tokens to equal a dollar on the Alpha?

Also, can’t figure out how to get this to spit out tokens.  I tested the hopper in the diagnostics menu and it spits them out just fine, so the hardware is functional.

Any help would be appreciated.  If it helps, I’m running an Oklahoma tribal BIOS.

Thanks,
Jason

Oklahoma Tribal SJUR you mean. The bios is not jurisdiction dependent.

Ok, so I think I have this figured out, although I can’t see an option for “split pay” the way that IGT and WMS are setup.  In other words, like in my example, 5 dollars worth of tokens will spit from the hopper, and the remainder will be printed on a ticket.

So on my Black & White Wild Quick Hit game I set the base denom as 1 dollar and chose a penny as the game denom.  My tokens equal a dollar when inserted.  I enabled my ticket printer, hopper, and coin in/comparitor.  I also set my hopper as the preferred output device.  The hopper has a max of 5 dollars set for output.

If I have exactly 1/2/3/4/5 dollars in the machine, the hopper will spit out 1-5 tokens accordingly.  If I have any odd change like $2.56 for example, the machine spits a ticket for that amount.  Anything over 5$, the machine spits a ticket.

Not the best setup, but i guess Bally doesn’t do the split payout thing.

If anyone knows of a way to setup split pay, please chime in.

Yeah, I found out Quick Hit is for single denom.

Glad you figured it out.  I don't do split payouts.  In fact I hardly ever cash out.  I use the coin in/out machines as just that coin/in out to hear the sound of the coins hitting the tray. I accidentally hit cash out on my s2000 the other day and I had like $200 worth of credits and the machine started spitting out my quarters, the hopper needed a good workout though.

For your progressive question about Multi Denom...

OLDER progressive games dont allow a progressive game to be multi denom. Newer games like Gold Rush or Wild Encounters allow multi denom progressives. When setting up the multi denom progressives you MUST assign the correct progressive table to the correct denom.
