I have at least 40 WMS 550 machines and I am in desperate need for the key that goes to the top of these machines so that you can fully close and lock them. I don’t want to be checking cameras constantly to see if anyone is lifting up the tops of these machines. Can anyone tell me where I can find this key....if it’s even standard across the board?

Those are not OEM cabinets, whoever built them, should be able to furnish you the keys.

O no please don’t tell me that. If that’s the case I’m completely screwed. Almost all of my cabinets are like this and I acquired these machines years ago. I have no way of finding out that information sadly. I’m gonna have to change all these locks one by one......

A WMS 550 is an upright slot and looks like the first photo. A WMS 360 is a slant machine and looks like the bottom one. They both run the same software. A lot of dealers would build cabinets to look like POGS so it would pass as a skill stop based machine and not as a class 3. They were also build with aftermarket clone boards on a lot of them, in fact if you look up life of luxury on e-bay, you will see the single board solutions that are not the original wms hardware.

A bit of work to change 40 out, 10 minutes, 6 an hour, 6 hours, yep. The locks probably don't need to be expensive from your post. Amazon - 10 for $20.
6 hours labor, $100 in locks. :Scratch-Head:
Good luck,
Tony

I would remove one lock and bring it to a locksmith and have them make a key for it for Around $15 ...assuming they are all keyed the same this should allow you to lock all of the tops

Thanks for all the help on this. I am going to go two routes on this one. Buy a cheap lock from Home Depot. From the ones I found looks like they would work as long as the circle size is the same. But I am also going to take a lock to a locksmith to see if a key can be made before I purchase 39 more and change all of them out.
Furthermore I have some others machines that are in the original cabinets that I don’t have keys for. Maybe you guys can help me with them. West Texas doesn’t see snow and right now we are in inches of it. When this clears up I will go and take pictures.
Thanks for all the help. This forum is amazing.

Ok this machine and several other i have like it are in the original cabinets. I'm trying to get the key for that bottom portion that will drop down.

If that is supposed to be a bally alpha machine, that is also not an original cabinet. No Bally cabinet ever made looks like that. It is probably another manufactured cabinet with the guts of a bally machine placed inside.

Sheesh I knew so little!! :Scratch-Head:
