Please Help: Sigma Four of a Kind Slant Top

Karloz25:
Hi guys, today I picked up another machine.
Sigma PT-2 Slant Top: Four of a Kind

The unit is missing a hopper and a coin chute.
When powered on, there is no video, just a static noise and a white line only when powering off.

Only the fluorescent light in the marquee light up, nothing else.

I’m concerned that the second power supply is not working as the LED onboard is not lit.
How can I trouble shoot this with a multimeter, what and where do I test?
Thank you.

Also I found the PT-2B manual, but I need the find the PT-2 manual, any idea where I can locate this manual?

Karloz25:
I tested 1 of 2 PSU and the first reading coming in was 122 and the output was 14
the second one (on the right) tested 122 coming in, but 0 going out.
The PSU Model is K50AU-12; 12V 4.2A 77W

What would be a good alternative for that PSU specs?
Can I use a 12V 5A 60W PSU? Its only $12.99 on Amazon
Jim:
That should work, just pay attention to hook up the ac input to the ac connection and the dc output to the correct wires for polarity concerns.  I believe the dc is marked + and -,  I think the wire color is orange???    doing this from memory, this should get the cpu to run and give you some indication that the board is good.

need some pictures of the coin in mech, you said no hopper,  so if the monitor comes on, and displays a picture, you will also need a key to use the reset switch ( located underneath the arm rest.

I may have a hopper for it, a coin mech unit minus the cc, and I know I have tested boards for Sigma B-52  poker machines., probably the same board??

don't think I have the manual anymore, gave it to someone years ago.

Hope this helps

Thanks Jim for chiming in, I appreciate any help.

Yea the hopper is missing, it’s an escalating hopper, not sure if the IGT ones would work? Maybe I would need to find out what Molex Plug is needed for the Sigma.
The machine is also missing a coin mech and coin chute (Coin handling assembly)
Without the Manual, I don’t know what it looks like.

I attached some photos. The PSU in question uses red and black wires, and the working PSU uses the Orange wires. Is the output voltage ok? It’s at 14, should it be trimmed down via pot to 12v?

Jim:
STOP STOP STOP!!!   you are telling me the 12 volt supply is not working, you are ready to order a supply, the picture shows the 12vdc supply working, red LED on, orange wire. the faulty supply is the +5vdc at 10 amps supply, red LED is out and has the red wires.

figure out what not working before you order.

igt hopper will not work.
