I have several 950 printers that came in s2000 machines. I can’t seem to get any of them to work through normal setup as the gen 2 3. Am I setting it up wrong.

those 950 printers have a high failure rate. about half of the ones that show up in my shop are bad.

I believe there is a capacitor that goes bad. I'll look to see if I can find that information

thank you for your replies. i was just not sure if i was missing something. they all light up but they will not load in nexplex. but if there is a way to fix them sweet. i will be stocked up for a really long time...lol...

100μF 16V capacitor at C68, is what i read. This may not be your issue, as this normally prevents the printer from booting properly due to it causing a power issue.

I imagine you have these set, but figured I'd ask to be sure  is 7.2.2 is set to printer enabled? did you perform the auto configure netplex devices in setting 4.3?
  As mentioned, I'm sure you did, but thought I'd ask .  Also check all cabling from printer.

Thanks for replying still haven’t got time to check caps. I’m put in gen 2-3 printer and they work. So settings are right. Anyway to not add to landfill would be great
