Title: Bally 6000 settings
Post by: Chuck spurlock on January 06, 2023, 01:25:48 PM
Okay so I had to do a battery change and did a full clear and when getting machine back on line everything seems to work ok except the buttons, I can put in coins and they go to credit in, I hit the spin button and it plays, upon a win they go to the credit display and the buttons are lit but when I hit the bet 1 or bet max nothing happens when pushed. The credits build up in the credit window but I can't seem to be able to use them, I'm thinking there is a setting that I'm missing and don't know where or what it is. Can anyone help me out?

There are no settings for the buttons. Make sure the wires are all connected and that the micro switch assembly is fully seated into the button otherwise the button cannot depress the micro switch. They are very tight fitting or they are cracked housing on the button and is not holding the switch in place firmly.

I put the buttons in another machine and they function like they should, could there be a problem with the mpu, backplane or harness?

Option 26 under the 11d menu will change how the buttons work

That's true but it's the one setting that alters button function. Just trying to offer any relevant info to help solve the issue.

check the triacs , Q-1 through Q-?  in front of the  connector on the left side. Had this problem before, some of the leads were broken off. resoldered the leads and everything worked fine.

Hope this helps

If the machine is new to you, Check the harness molex connection at the backplane behind reel 1. I've received machines that aren't fully seated.

Thanks,
