Title: IGT S2000 Error

I have a IGT model 96438300 built in 09/00. I believe it is a S2000. Triple Butter Fly 7 machine. 5 reals. Call Attendant is displayed.

1. Open machine and turn it on. Alarm goes off. 
2. Turn reset key once. Bad Serial Number ROM –0xAE03 or Game EPROM CRC Mismatch -0xB000001 appears
3. Turn key a second time. Some Critical Data May Be Lost
4. Turn Key a third time. Press Test Switch for 2-3 Seconds
    Which I think is the little white button on the Board next to the Lights. Motherboard.  I push and hold for 3 seconds.
5. Please Close the Main Door. I politely follow the instructions and do so.
6. Checking Memory
7. NETPLEX Auto-Config in Progress
8. Call Attendant

Post a picture of your MPU including a clear image of your chips. Sounds like one is bad or not properly installed. Pics must be under 1000kb so some editing may be required. Be sure to turn the power off before removing it.

There's no chip missing. Everything looks correct. Did you continue with the procedure to see if the error eventually cleared or does it continuously repeat?

If it loops, you need to use a clear chip.

im not sure but when i got my splus and new nothing about the macine it would let me do test spins only found out from this forum i needed ram clear chip and game setup chip for bill validator did all that and nothing ended up being a bad cpu battery changed battery redid ram clear and b/v setup and everything has been working great

Took a while to get back here. I get the same old thing over and over. I think a new battery and a Clear chip is the answer too. Thank you

What is the current battery voltage?
