i have used GBS and can obtain an image, although the colours are inverted.

screen should look like this https://www.mediafire.com/view/pii1hb4ylxkhvri/RightColour.png/file
now ive read the PE+ CRT to LCD guide, specifically where i need to replace an IC https://www.mediafire.com/view/t55yvwnmml0o5mh/PE%252Bguide.png/file
but on my board(assuming dif revision maybe), the IC is different at location u45. https://www.mediafire.com/view/9fn3bejj3wnrd4o/U45-Location.jpg/file
please are there any suggestions?
thanks in advance,
D.

My first suggestion is to resize those photos so they are less than 1MB and post them here as attachments.

Based on your pictures and your listed location, you have an Australian board which is not the same as the United States PE+ board used in the LCD conversion guide.
Unfortunately we only very occasionally see posts here about the board you have and I personally can't point you in the right direction as to what components may need to be changed to do what you're trying to accomplish. Hopefully someone else here might have some insight.

@knagl,Tilt,
thanks for the replies
another option might be.....
does anyone have board layout files for the PROM -> EEPROM converter shown here?
thanks once again

Are you still looking for the board layout files?

From your picture, I would think the chip you need to swap out would be U49. Layout wise, that part of the circuit looks to be the same as my US based PE+ board. I'd suggest tracing one of the video lines back thru the output transistor to the IC just to be sure. Please let us know how this turns out for you.
