Title: Missing #200 Service Manual
Post by: markalmonduk on February 22, 2024, 03:43:51 PM
I'm trying to find a copy of the Bally #200 Service Guide, does anyone have a copy for sale or download? It's a shame as the site linked from this forum has almost all numbers except #200!!!!!!! Gutted!
I missed out recently of a copy on eBay after being directed to it by someone on these forums... Got there too late and it was sold.

If anyone comes across one I'd be grateful. Thanks.

there's a couple options:

1] contact the ebay seller and ask him if he will contact the buyer and put him in touch with you

2] contact the guy on https://pennymachines.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?p=74847 who says he has the manual and see if you can get a copy ... or if you really want to go the extra 10 miles (ok, kilometers), see if he'll contact me at slotpics@cdyn.com and loan me the thing ... or provide 600 dpi scans of it.  I'd send it back along with any other manual I have that he wants and pay the shipping both ways.

then I'll scan/post it for free download.

the manual is mainly exploded parts diagrams, some of which are in the later 2200 and/or 2400 manuals.  Schematics were not in the manuals except some excerpts/theory of ops like he posted in the above on pennymachines.

unfortunately, I haven't found a source for non-usa machine schematics, so I just look at ebay.uk and ebay.au occasionally to see if something pops up.  The goal is to make available at least one schematic for every model number, but the games that went to uk, aus, sweden and denmark are not easy to find and there's limits to how much I'm willing to pay.

'course, you may be asking why don't I just ask him myself ... experience says people are skittish dealing with overseas people - especially from the former colonies (which I guess is most places), and I just found the pennymachines thing yesterday :-)

Great. I'll contact the guy regarding manual and let you know how I get on (or get a response!!).

It's a great service you do compiling all the Bally guides, but must seem an impossible task at times knowing just how many variations and modifications were made over the years especially the UK ones!!!

wolftalk is awesome I have learned a lot from him, I have 4 Bally EM machine and he's helped me restore all of them. His library is really important to work on the EM slot machines.

[topic moderator adds] - having known the guy for many years, I'd note that wolftalk is a cantankerous old git who doesn't have the 200 manual.  Completely useless! :-)
