Helix software?

Pretty much all of them will.  They come on CFAST cards so will have to be converted to CF cards.

I'll add that some require specific hardware such as a dynamic button panel or a monitor that needs to be able to hit some of the higher resolutions of a wide screen.

What game have you found that requires a higher res Wide Screen?  I never had an issue with screen res on a WS with any Helix  or Helix + game. I was even able to play Buffalo Gold Revolution, a Gen9 MarsX game, on mine after I added a USB touch controller. 

Also, the OLED deck is a must but most of the WS Viridians come with them.

Sorry i missed that he had a WS to start with. I have a standard Viridian that i've had to add a hi-res monitor to.

I would say if you are going to run newer games I would get the WS. I have a regular which was a good place to start but i'm looking for a WS now. The regular with the WS carrier board does play a lot of them but i believe to play the lightning Link games you need the LCD buttons and i haven't seen a good way to incorporate the LCD buttons into that cabinet.

I can play LL games on my WS Viridian with a green board and standard button panel no problem...
I do prefer LL on my dynamic button panel WS cabinet...

Any LL that I have tried...
...I had 5 different titles and knew people that had titles I didn't.
I've had success with most all the CFast card software that I personally converted to CF card to run in my MK7. You're results may vary.
All I have ever owned were WS cabinets...

I agree with all the above.All the LL I have tried in a WS machine worked.
Most LL will work in a narrow machine also with a WS carrier board with the exception of titles with the 4.00.C OS.That one will give you a error of "needs a second screen".
The games look much better in a WS machine.

Thank you all for the responses. I’ll give it a try. I looked at the PAR sheet and it said LCD required so I didn’t even try. I’ll load it up today and see!

So what machine did you get?

I have a regular Viridian with a red carrier board and have installed a Hi-res widescreen monitor in the top. Also installed a CFast card reader in it. I want to find a WS cabinet so it's a little less Frankenstein-ish.

Well I guess never fully trust the PAR sheets and what it says.  Installed and it works! It does have the 4.00.C OS.

That version works because you have a widescreen monitor on top.If it was a narrow top screen it would come up with the needs two monitor error.

The way your machine is,thats the best you can do till you find a WS machine.I did the same till I found my WS.

Care to school me on how you installed a CFast card reader in your MK7?
I had no clue that was possible...

All I see is a USB slot in the front of the logic box on the carrier board???
