one item that might be causing your issue is the SSR --solid state relay,  located on the upright where the hopper plug is located.

there are five wires on that relay, three come from the cpu, and two are HOT 115 vac,

black and red wire have 115vac on it all the time,  when the relay is energized through a signal from the cpu, it will put that hot 115vac to the other post on that side of the relay, white and black wire, which goes to the motor in the hopper, the other side of the motor has a neutral on it all the time so when the 115vac is applied from the relay, the hopper motor will turn.

so either the relay contacts are stuck closed , or the cpu is putting out a constant energize pulse to keep the relay energized.

try to disconnect the white/black wire and see if the hopper motor will stop, if it does, the reconnect it and try and disconnect the two wires on the other side and see what happens. grey/red  and  grey /violet,  solid green is just ground, don't have to disconnect it.

make sure none of the disconnected wires touch any metal.  take a picture of the wiring before you start, thenyou always have a reference of what is correct.

this should tell us what's going on

hope this helps.

Something's not right here.    (Understatement of the year?)  :rotfl:

If you open the door and press the test button about 12 times until you see a six (6) in the [Coins Played] window, what do you see in the [Credits] window?  :Scratch-Head:

Page. 6 of the options is the denomination setting of the coin you're using in the coin comparitor.

I don't think it's going to help much Micheal, but basically the "0" mean zero cents...at some point, by simply pressing the Spin button a few times, you can change it to 25 for .25 cents.

I would stick with JIM's suggestion of a possible stuck relay contact.
Get another one and hook it up...they don't cost much.

Jim helped me tremendously! My machine is working as it should! I appreciate all of the help everyone has given me. The only thing that I might need help with, but i don't know that it matters, is what going through the different settings with the key will do. When i bought the machine they said it was needed to reset a jackpot... i haven't hit that yet! But not sure what other things i can adjust or change.

When you hit a win above the hopper limit the machine will go into a hand-pay - this is where the machine will be going tick, tick, tick continually and if you have a bell then it will ring, until you turn the jackpot reset key.

In a casino setting someone has verified the win, and brings out the giant check takes your picture and issues you a W2G
The turn of the jackpot key basically erases the credit and the win. No coins are paid etc.  So in a home setting this is very anti-climatic unless you can convince your partner to play dress up and walk in a giant cheque.  :dancing_2:

With the door closed, and the game ready to play  - the Jackpot reset key puts you into statistics mode.
You can see the size of the last win etc. To get out of this mode open, close the door.

To change the settings for the most part you use the White Test button on the inside - using the spin button to move you between settings.
Your machine is governed by two chips. The Game Chip (SP) and the Reel Chip (SS).

The various settings are described in the PSR (Program Summary Report) - each game chip will have a number like SP1271 and there is a document that covers the settings for this chip. The PAR sheet describes options that are unique to your theme and each Reel chip would have a matching PAR sheet.
You can find most of the PAR information in the Online S+ game bible that is located in RICKS FAQs on the main page.

If your not sure what chips are in your machine there are also instructions in Ricks Faqs that will allow you to display them in the Credit/Winner Paid screens.
