Have you looked at the Bally EM manual in the NLG file system?  Also found here: https://rwatts.cdyn.com/download/bally_em_manual/bally%20em%20manual.pdf (https://rwatts.cdyn.com/download/bally_em_manual/bally%20em%20manual.pdf)  It includes info on the 808 double up feature unit specifically.  A lot of the mechanical diagrams show common components and the generic schematics pretty much apply across the lineup.  Although a little confusing, as it shows all the feature variations you don't have, it still includes a lot of good starting points for things to check.  Specific questions are usually helped by posting in the Bally EM forum.

Thank you, I'll take a look! I was also looking for an original manual if possible.

I may be wrong but, from what I've seen here over the years the closest you'll get to a machine specific "manual" is the schematics (and they aren't exactly a lot of fun to decipher).

You still haven't said if there is any problem with the machine but, if so, usually a cleaning of contacts/relays and removal of old dried up grease will get them running just fine.

It seems to be running perfectly, other than it looks as though someone cut a bell wire. I need to pull reels for access, and am not sure how or if I can do it without any readjustment.

It's fairly common for people to cut the bell wire as it's really too loud in a home setting.  I just packed and stuffed foam against the bell to greatly reduce the racket.

As far as reel mech goes, there are two levers (one on each side of the lower front of the reel frame.  You pull both forward and down so they unlatch from the shelf and then just pull on the whole assembly to slide it out of the machine.  This will require no re-adjustment of any kind.  One lever is shown at about the 0:45 second mark of this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaafBYf4eck (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaafBYf4eck).

As it is working, if you still have questions, I'd suggest you request a moderator to move this thread to the Bally EM forum or mark this one closed and start a new thread in that forum.

Thank you for the help! I released the levers and pulled but I guess not hard enough! If I have any more questions I will post them in the proper forum. Thanks again!

I have a fold out schematic for the 808 ZF.

Would you like to sell it?
