Title: Aristocrat metering error
Post by: Kevin56 on May 04, 2021, 07:48:10 AM
I have an Aristocrat Tequila Sunrise reel machine that has a metering error. I understand I need to do a ram clear to fix this problem.

I found instructions on NLG to do this. The instructions say to short out C23 near U7 for MK2.5 (there is no C23 near U7) or C104 near U74 (there is no C104 or U73). So, I shorted out all of the capacitors on the board. The ram clear hasn't worked.

Part of the problem is that I don't know what model it is, the nameplate is blank where the model number should be but it says 540 on the front of the machine.

I attached a picture of the machine and the board in case that helps.

Any help would be appreciated.

Little late but that is a 540 stepper MK2.5. I see on the MPU the Green battery has leaked acid onto the board. Probably the cause of the problems. Remove the battery and have a electronics board repair facility that repairs traces on PCB , repair that acid damaged area.

I could not find anything other than this for a reset and it does not specify if this procedure is for a stepper or video?

with the machine on:

1.Turn the audit Key on and leave it .
2. Open the main door.
3. Turn the jackpot key on and leave it .
3. Press and hold MEM TEST , AUX  and ROBO/HOP RESET together.
4. You will see "Memory reset" appear
5. Turn the jackpot and audit key back and close the main door.
