How to: reset Aristocrat MAVStepper
« on: August 08, 2021, 06:06:48 PM »
Anyone have a clue where I'd find setup info?
I have never seen this project working. I replaced the battery on the board. On power up I get 4 buttons that light up. This might look like a MAV500 but inside it is not. TIA for any help...
Nothing else there are some good parts in it...

I like casinos and I love slot machines

VIG-520? The board is completely different to anything else, it's the only thing I can think of since it isn't an ancient 540 from last century.

Any suggestion on clearing it after the battery change?
There are 4 buttons that lite up on startup.

VIG-520? Seems like I read a while back Aristocrat bought out CDS and built a better MK6 stepper. That's why there is no info on this one...

Yeah, AFAIK it's a CDS design, nothing in common with MK6 except for the cabinet as you said (e.g. VIG-520 has an AMD SC520 MCU whereas MK6 has a Hitachi SH-4). I found a manual for the CDS US-0320 (3 reels) but I don't know if it's related in any way with menus etc.

Unfortunately I'm in Australia and we don't have these down here, they're a US-only design. The only modern stepper reel slot I ever saw in the wild were IGT AVPs (aka Bluechip Neo).
